E.H. Price has a deep heritage as a heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) sales agency and manufacturer. The company was founded in 1946 by Winnipeg-based professional engineer Ernest Harry “Ernie” Price, who had purchased the assets and rights to an existing Winnipeg sales agency, and began selling air distribution products in the local market. Expansion of the sales business began in Western Canada with the opening of the Edmonton, Alberta sales office in 1950. By 1953 the office in Calgary was launched and E.H. Price now offered full sales coverage throughout the province of Alberta.

In 1961, a distinct and independent manufacturing division was created to produce certain air distribution products, which ultimately led to the development of Price Industries Limited in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Price Industries remains to this day the primary manufacturer for, and the parent company of, E.H. Price Sales Limited.

In 1974 E.H. Price established more manufacturer representation with Greenheck Fan Corporation, a relationship that would become the ideal template for representation of several other leading manufacturers in the HVACR industry. This strategy has led E.H. Price to valued partnerships with over 125 of the leading brands in the world today.

E.H. Price has experienced considerable growth in Alberta over the past 20 years. The company is proud to have been involved with several distinguished commercial construction projects in both the private and public sectors. E.H. Price represented products can be found in a wide range of building types from retail spaces, schools and universities, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, correctional facilities, process plants, research laboratories, and healthcare facilities to name but a few.

As a result of the relentless innovation and product development of its manufacturing partners, E.H. Price has been at the leading edge of an ever-evolving HVACR industry. “Our sales team in Calgary takes pride in being the thought leaders and we, as a company, invest heavily in offering training and educational opportunities to our clients,” says Rick Davies, regional vice president – Southern Alberta. “This keeps both the engineering and contractor community in tune with the latest in technology and product development for energy efficient, sustainable and architecturally pleasing state-of-the-art buildings.”

Dedicated and experienced sales professionals truly set E.H. Price apart from the competition. The team is committed to providing unparalleled customer service and being the supplier of preference for a wide range of innovative products and complete HVACR solutions. With many of the E.H. Price represented manufacturers offering reduced lead times, the sales team is well equipped to meet the needs of what can be a very demanding construction market.

“Geoff Yang of Redpoint Ventures once stated, ‘It used to be that the big ate the small. Now the fast eat the slow.’ As a sales organization, we are truly focused on speed to market,” says Davies.

With the recent addition of a mechanical equipment division to its sales offering, E.H. Price is well positioned to continue down the path of continued growth in the province and to reach its objective of becoming the “one stop shop” for all HVACR product needs.

Davies notes, “By incorporating engineering sales as a fundamental component of our business and maintaining the trust of the engineering and contractor communities, E.H. Price has earned a reputation for integrity and standing behind all of our products. We only work with leading, reliable and credible manufacturers and are well known for growing the sales and market presence of the manufacturers that we represent. While historically considered an air side sales agency, we have been welcomed into the mechanical equipment side of the business because of these principles and practices.”

After more than 70 years, E.H. Price remains a privately held company whose founding principles of business integrity, first class service, innovation and commitment to people have never changed.

“Our vision has always been to earn our place as a market leader by providing a superior service experience, quality products at a competitive price, and being easy to do business with.”

E.H Price is proud of its heritage in Alberta and would like to take this opportunity to express gratitude toward all of their customers that have been an integral part of the company’s growth and success.

“We truly consider you to be our partners and sincerely appreciate your support of our products and services,” Davies concludes.
